COMMISSIONS
I am available to do commissions to suit you. People have often liked work of mine that has sold, or has certain animals or themes to them. Some want something more personal. Some have stories that they want illustrating or want family portraits in my style!
Let me know what you would like. Then I will produce several sketches based on the info given. We will work on the drawings until we are happy with an image. We will then work out a size and a price and you will be involved throughout the production of the work.

AT HOME WITH THE HUNTERS - Oct -Dec 2021
I was invited to produce a painting for a family who had brought work from me in the past and wanted something personal.
We met up, had a chat about what they wanted and they sent me some photographs of themselves, things they loved, their home etc and we came up with a few ideas.
They decided on their favourite ideas and I started to paint a 3ft x 4ft canvas.

BEE in the city - Manchester - 23 July - 23 Sept 2018
In May this year I was asked by Didsbury in Bloom to work with them to create a bee for the Wild in Art project to take place across Manchester this Summer.
They wanted a bee that could be placed outside Didsbury Library that would show the importance of pollinating insects and the importance of wild flowers for them to exist. We worked on some ideas and agreed on our design. Then I started work painting the fibre glass bee in a location in the city centre, along with lots of other artists. It was a hive of activity and and wonderful place to work. It was completed at the beginning of July and has now gone on show outside the library. Didsbee - no 87 on the trail. The Bee in the City project has so far been a huge success and it is great to see so many people and families wandering around the city centre with bee maps walking the trail! LES joyeaux - a family celebration!
My latest commission was a request to produce a family portrait ( 16 people!!) as a reminder of a family celebration in France. She sent me a lot of family photographs from the party they had with all the family dressed in medieval costumes. From these images I produced several drawings - deciding to base the image very loosely on the idea/ format of the Last Supper.
The client was happy with the drawing - loved the idea and we decided on a size and price for the work. I then kept the client up to date with the progress of the painting and gave lots of opportunities for them to make changes or to add things to the painting.
And here is the final commission!
LOVING FAMILY COMMISSION
Another commission recently was for a family who loved my work but wanted something more personal. They wanted a family portrait but in my style of figures. It was to include Mum, Dad, two daughters and the cat! They wanted the daughters to hold their favourite cuddly toys to give it a really personal touch.
I decide that the painting would be produced to look like a selfie with Dad holding the camera. The family embraced this idea and I produced several drawings allowing them to select what they liked and disliked about them and coming up with one to please everyone.
Here are some of the images

REMINDER OF CHILDHOOD
This is a great ideas for a commission. This is a painting I did of my son and all of his favourite cuddly toys. He was very attached to them and thought it would be a lovely idea to preserve them in the painting so that he could look back at it when he is older and be reminded of the. He is 8 now and still has most of them!

DOG LOVERS COMMISSION
One of my most recent commissions was for one of my buyers in Kent. She really loved my work and asked me to do a portrait of her and her husband in my character style. She has two dogs – an Airedale Terrier called Lottie and a Golden Spaniel called Moose – and she wanted a canvas of the four of them together.
She started the process by sending me lots of images of the dogs and I produced several sketches of how it could look. We were in constant communication through email. We finally decided on the drawing she liked, that best captured the likenesses of the dogs and the characteristics of her and her husband.
‘When I scrolled down to the drawing it made me laugh out loud and then my eyes welled up. It is truly perfect, us to a T’
We decided on the size and price of the canvas. I then produced a few colour studies of the dogs and started the canvas. I updated the client every time I had done some work on the painting to show her where I was up to and to check it was going ok. If there was anything she did not like (colour of background, shape of the dogs, tone of the fur) she could let me know and I could change it in the process.
After a few weeks of emails I finally finished the painting and the client was more than happy!
‘I am very grateful for your patience and completely delighted with the results! I am one happy bunny’

GOOSE COMMISSION
One couple approached me after seeing a piece of my work featuring geese. They were interested in a commission including two figures and a gathering of geese around them. I produced about 9 drawings for them of different figures, different compositions and varying numbers of geese. They then picked what they liked out of each drawing and we came up with a drawing we were all happy with. Then I produced a canvas for them. They visited me several times at the studio while the work was being produced and I sent them regular updates via email. They were very pleased with the result!
'I'D DO ANYTHING FOR YOU' COMMISSION
Another commission was for a client who had seen one of my collages but it had sold. He then wanted me to produce something similar but wanted to make it more personal. He had seen the characters in the original collage as being himself carrying his daughter. To make it more personal he asked if the figure on his shoulders could carry his daughters favourite toy, which went everywhere with her. We met up . took some photographs and produced several drawings. When we got the right image I progressed and produced the collage for them. It was much lighter and brighter than the original one. The client felt honoured to have been involved in the process and seeing the development of the work made it even more personal.
DIVING FAMILY PORTRAIT COMMISSION
This painting was commissioned by friends Paul and Jennifer Bromley. Myself and Jen were taught to Scuba Dive by Paul and my partner Sam. They now have two girls and wanted a painting to involve the four of them diving! They were happy with the result, done in acrylic on paper.
