NEW PROJECTS FOR 2009
ROGUE OPEN STUDIO 13 and 14 June 2009
Our annual Open Studio is an opportunity for you to come and see new work and meet the artists.
I will be exhibiting new work which will include a series of four new prints with text produced by writer Robert Wall and a series of watercolour paintings.It is also a chance to look through old work and find a bargain!
Opening times are
11am-6pm on Saturday 13th June
Private View is 6-9pm on Saturday 13th June

In March I will be part of an exhibition at the Lowry Hotel called 'Art and Artists' which will look at various artists and the way they work. I hope to have three/four new collages ready for the show. Preview will be at the Lowry Hotel on Thursday 5th March, 6-8pm.

Also in May we will be having a Rogue Open Studio where you can visit the studio and see the work and meet many of the artists working in our mill. There are now around 60 artists together under one roof. I will post the dates as soon as they have been confirmed.

I have updated images in the gallery section. Two new sections include Early Work - a chance to see some old work from the last 15 years. The other is Step by Step, which shows you the development of the painting 'THE CHAIRMAN' which was produced for the Lowry Hotel exhibition last May. I will be adding another Step by Step gallery of a pianting I am currently working on and will update it as the painting develops.

ILLUSTRATION PROJECT July 2007
I have just completed a commission to illustrate a short story for a Mid-Pennine Arts project called 'KICKING LEAVES". The book produced includes stories written by school children from an open school competition.
I have illustrated a story for the book called 'In Kathleen's Garden by childrens author David Almond. The image can be seen in the illustration section in the Gallery.

A Chance to see, and buy, new work produced over the last couple of years. It includes works on paper, canvas as well as new etchings and some 3D ceramic pieces. The work continues the theme of figures in comforting and playful poses. Some of the works include figures with animals which have been partly inspired by the book ‘Northern Lights’ by Philip Pulman in which everyone has a demon, which takes the form of an animal, which is a part of them. Read the book!
I will be at the gallery on Saturday 4th February from 2-4pm to meet people so pop along if you are in the area.
