Third picturebook released - July 2021
THE girl who really really really loves nature - out now!
My third picturebook - 'The Girl who Really Really Really loves Nature' is out now! It is published by the Natural History Museum. If follows the story of nature loving Lara and her discovery of strange blobby things in her pond - she goes on to discover what they are and what they turn into!! It has been well received and can be purchased at most bookshops as well as from the Natural History Museum shop and through Amazon.

Ideas for book number three are coming together nicely with the first dummybook complete. I have now sent it off to the Natural History Museum and waiting to see if they like it. Fingers crossed!

THE BEE HAS ARRIVED!!
The Bee has arrived in Didsbury for the Bee in the City Art Trail. It will be there from 23 July - 23 Sept. It is in the Didsbury in Bloom Garden outside Didsbury Library.

I am very please to say that the artwork for my second picturebook 'The Girl who Really Really Really Loves Dinosaurs' is now complete. It was delivered to the Natural History Museum in London in January and will is due to be published in June 2018. A big thank you to the Natural History Museum for publishing the book and for their support throughout the process! More news and images to follow!

ROGUE ARTISTS STUDIOS 21st ANniversary Open Studio

Rogue Artists Studios is looking for a new home as the building that we have lived in for the last 16 years has been sold....
It is not an easy task finding a new home for over 90 Artists and we are still looking but this October will see us celebrate our 21st year as a studio group.
Come along on Friday 14th Oct 6-9pm for drinks and have a final look around at all the talent that has built up here!
We are also open on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October 12pm - 5pm
I will be exhibiting a selection of old and new work. I will be selling off lots of work before the move so now will be a good time to come and get a bargain! Buy that painting you have always wanted at an affordable price!

WE WON THE FUNDING TO PRODUCE A MURAL AT THE SALE ART TRAIL!!
Sale Art Trail did a great job in getting people to vote for us at Worthington Park on Sunday. And because of this I will now be painting a mural in the Bean and Brush Family Cafe during the Sale Art Trail on 9th and 10th July! Come along and say hello and watch me paint the wall! There will also be a competition to decorate a lizard - the best five will be painted onto the wall as a permanent part of the mural. To enter the competition pick up a colouring sheet from the Bean and Brush and hand it back in by Friday 8 July

EVENTS COMING UP...
Over the next few months I will be doing a few events.
GREEN WALK ART AND CRAFT WEEKEND
30th April / 1st May 2016 - 12.00 - 6pm
This is a great event in Whalley Range, South Manchester.
This will be the 10th Anniversary of the Green Walk Open House Arts and Crafts Weekend. It is an event organised by a group of Green Walk residents who open their houses to local artists/designers to use as exhibition space to showcase and sell their work. This will include paintings, ceramics, glass, photography, jewelry and more for a full list of who will be exhibiting and in which house click here.
Previously the event has attracted a large and enthusiastic following from the local community and further afield, with attendance growing year on year. With close to 50 artists taking part, the event is a must for those wanting to spend a leisurely afternoon over the bank holiday weekend.
Cream teas, cakes will be served on the green as well as food from Cafe Ark, Tibetan Kitchen, The Manchester Tart Co and Gingers comfort Emporium.
Car parking is available at the Carlton Club, Carlton Road, off Wood Road, to avoid parking on Green Walk.
The houses will be open on Saturday 30th April & Sunday 1st May 2016, from 12.00 to 6.00 pm.

ROGUE ARTISTS STUDIOS 20th BIRTHDAY/ OPEN STUDIO
23/24/25 October 2015
Wow! It is hard to believe that it is 20 years since I first moved into my studio. It was in a different building from where we are now and it was a lot smaller!
We have seen a lot of people come and go over the years and now at 20 we are one of the biggest studios in the North West with 100 artists based there.
To celebrate we will be opening the studio to the public to come and see some of the work that is going on in the City Centre at the moment. It is a great opportunity to see my work, go through old work and look in drawers and cupboards at work that has been in there for 20 years!
The open night will be on Friday 23 Oct, 6-9pm and then on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th - 12 -5pm.

Our annual Open Studio is an opportunity for you to come and see new work and meet the artists.

I have just completed a commission to illustrate a short story for a Mid-Pennine Arts project called 'KICKING LEAVES". The book produced includes stories written by school children from an open school competition.

NEW PROJECTS FOR 2009
ROGUE OPEN STUDIO 13 and 14 June 2009
Our annual Open Studio is an opportunity for you to come and see new work and meet the artists.
I will be exhibiting new work which will include a series of four new prints with text produced by writer Robert Wall and a series of watercolour paintings.It is also a chance to look through old work and find a bargain!

In March I will be part of an exhibition at the Lowry Hotel called 'Art and Artists' which will look at various artists and the way they work. I hope to have three/four new collages ready for the show. Preview will be at the Lowry Hotel on Thursday 5th March, 6-8pm.

I have just completed a commission to illustrate a short story for a Mid-Pennine Arts project called 'KICKING LEAVES". The book produced includes stories written by school children from an open school competition.
I have illustrated a story for the book called 'In Kathleen's Garden by childrens author David Almond. The image can be seen in the illustration section in the Gallery.

Lots of things going on at the moment...
I am currently producing work for a two man show at Wendy Levys Gallery in Feb 2010. Not far off...
I am also showing work with a new gallery in Hayfield who have exciting plansd for a new gallery space early in 2010 which I am looking forward to.
I am currently doing a Masters degree in Children's Book Illustration which is keeping me very busy at the moment. I have set up a blog site for this. Follow the link below and become a follower. Also let me know if you have any interesting links and I will display them on my page.
