THE CIRCUS
This was one of my first murals and was produced for a Primary School Story Corner.
They wanted something that the children could use in some way so we came up with the idea of a counting game of 1 -10.
We decided on the theme of the Circus as we wanted it to be bright and colourful and had to include lots of elements so we could have enough objects to count!
Painting this one was difficult as the bricks were breeze blocks, which have little air holes in them, so the undercoating took almost as long as the final mural...
I came up with a design which included 1 Ringmaster, 2 Trapeze artists, 3 Sea lions, 4 Clowns, 5 juggling balls, 6 Band members, 7 penguins, 8 stars, 9 spots on the snake and 10 balloons with the numbers in!
The children loved it and has provided hours of fun!
