THE BOY WHO REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVES LIZARDS MURALThe mural was painted by artist /illustrator John Hamilton in the children’s area of the Bean and Brush Café in Sale.
It was produced as part of the Sale Art Trail and was funded by Trafford Partnerships. I was stationed in the café on 9 and 10th July and painted the wall. Children came along to watch and chat. There was also a competition for the children to design a lizard – five of which were selected by the Sale Art Trail team and painted permanently on the wall as part of the mural. The design for the mural is a page from my children’s book – ‘The Boy Who Really Really Really Loves Lizards’ based on my son’s obsession with lizards at the museum. It was published by Manchester Museum We had over 300 design from schools, nurseries , brownie and scout groups and visitors to the café. John can produce murals for schools, nurseries, bedrooms and playrooms. |
